Inspiration From the Blogosphere This Week
Here are some posts from my blogger friends that grabbed my attention this week–
Not Just Cute: Would You Like a Lift? More on Why Age Matters - I think I shouted "Amen!" when I finished reading Amanda's post. She takes on the notion that we should do things with younger kids because they will need to do it later. My favorite quote: "They'll do it later because that's when it's appropriate."
Teach Preschool: Water Bottle Collages - Deborah is always great for inspiration, and I loved this activity the minute I saw it. The concentration and different approaches to doing it sold me on this idea. We've already done it and it was great. (Watch this space for a post about it.)
I'm a Teacher, Get Me OUTSIDE here: Felting Stones - Juliet introduced me to a completely new idea. I can imagine how the process would interest kids and how the end product would feel. Definitely on the list of things to try.
More for Less: Bubble Wrap Prints - We love to use bubble wrap for painting. But this technique is a little different from what we've done in the past. And I think the final prints were just too cool.
Childhood 101: Story Cards - This post has my brain percolating. I can think of using photos I have as story cards; looking for old books or magazine photos to use as story cards; planning new photos to take and use as photo cards; and grabbing some of those photo flash cards from the Target dollar spot for story cards.
What has inspired you this week?
