Around, Under, and Through

This week we put out one of my personal favorite materials - masking tape. I put the tape out with the cars so the kids could make roads.

I was surprised when "H" began his road. He approached the task with a different eye than has been done in the past.

Of course the other boys decided to build onto H's road. The system grew and grew.

Then "J" said, "The road is going under the table." And it did.

And of course, the cars had to drive around, under, and through - following the road.

Kids never cease to surprise and challenge me. I often must follow them around, under, and through just to keep up. (I wouldn't have it any other way!)
