Independent Thinking

I put a few tools in the blocks center. Much of the play is what you may expect.

But N decided to go another route. He built around individual tools.

Why? I don't know. But then again I don't need to know. This was his thinking, not mine.

I love to see the unique ideas that kids have.

  1. Many, many moons ago I attended a workshop on block building. I wish I still had the handout, it had some great insight in how children build, the stages of building and even characteristics that came from building. I love blocks. I have blocks in almost every center area of my classroom. :)

  2. I love blocks, too. We always have someone building and creating in blocks.

  3. Thanks for following Cachey Mama's Classroom. I will be posting a giveaway soon as I just hit 100 followers. Please stop by soon to enter! Thanks again.
