I Like Wot evr this is

Last week I was cleaning up the writing center. I found this.

I don't know who did this (although I do have my suspicions). And I don't know why it was abandoned.

Here's a close-up of the caption.

This wonderful find sums up what I love about teaching young children. They are open for any kind of experience. Small things excite them. They find joy just by looking. They like things that they don't even have a name for.

They are helping me become more like them. Seeing the wonder in a raindrop or trail of ants. Discovering joy at how 2 or 3 colors of paint can become a shade of brown unexpectedly. Drawing a picture of something unidentifiable and yet liking the picture nonetheless.

"I like whatever this is." That ain't a bad way to live.
